Roger is a psychotherapist and partner with Heritage Counseling Associates of Edmonds, Washington. He has offices in Edmonds, Kirkland and Snohomish. He holds degrees in Psychology from Bethel College in St Paul Minnesota and in Family Therapy from Biola University in La Mirada, California. He has been in practice since 1983 working with individuals and couples from a cognative / behavioral, family systems approach.
A committed Christian, Roger is a popular speaker who deals with issues of family life in a practical and insightful way while integrating Biblical insight with psychological principles. A frequent speaker at conferences and retreats, Roger's presentations are noted for their humor, practical application and relaxed style. He has directed numerous seminars and workshops across the United States, Europe and Asia, for a wide variety of audiences ranging from churches, schools and professional organizations to the Boeing Corporation and The U.S. Armed Forces.

Roger is a recipient of the Bethel College Decade Award for Professional Achievement and has served as Adjunct Professor of Counseling at Puget Sound Christian College. His first book, "Intimate Deception" was awarded the Book of the Year award by Cornerstone Magazine. He is also the author of "Your Family Voyage", "Adult to Adult" and "The Intimacy Cover-up", which he co-authored with his daughter, Karlyn.
